With COVID-19 causing nation-wide lockdown and the need for social distancing isolating most of us in quarantine, going to gyms to workout has simply not been an option. Gyms, along with restaurants, bars, pools, schools, places of work, and numerous other establishments, have been closed in the name of public safety. Of course, these measures are necessary for flattening the curve and reducing deaths due to the virus, but it also means that many people’s workout routines have been upended. Therefore, working out from home has become the new normal.
I am a runner, so a lot of my exercise routine has been able to stay the same because I can just go on runs outside. However, it gets boring to do this every day, and many people don’t enjoy running as a form of exercise. That’s why I’ve been taking full advantage of Youtube to vary my workout routine, and I’ve compiled a list of my favorite workout videos that are free, accessible, and easy to do from home. None of them require weights or equipment. I’ve tried to vary my selections in terms of length and type of workout, so hopefully there is something here for everyone!
