Each year we have a video series highlighting girls or women in our community that are doing something amazing! This year, we asked girls from our Springboarder teen leadership program to talk about something they had done that made them feel STRONG! We learned more about each of the girls and we have to say we were impressed!

Hump Day Hops 2021

GirlSpring’s “Hump Day Hops” featured a virtual panel with Maye Head Frei, Chair of RAM Tool, Bobbie Knight, President of Miles College, and Shannon Spotswood, President of RFG Advisory.

Moderated by Karla Khodanian of Birmingham Business Alliance.

What we Can Learn From Successful Female Leaders

These three women have climbed the ranks to the highest leadership levels and are taking their organizations to the next level with fresh strategies and innovative thinking. They’ve done all of this while working against the odds and managing home, family, children, and office life. Find out what keeps each of them motivated and at the top of their game.

Each October, we celebrate “Sheroctober.” This year, intern Marissa Elkins, a student at the University of Alabama, developed, edited, and produced the 2020 Sheroctober series, which focused on frontline workers, which in our eyes are all sheroes! Thanks to all who are risking their own safety to keep us safe in 2020! Look for more videos throughout October!

In 2020, we transformed our annual Hump Day Hops event into a totally virtual event featuring prominent Birmingham leaders Lindsay Davis, Lauren Pearson, Liz Pharo, and Martha Underwood. Still at the beginning of the pandemic, they gave insight into what to expect in the financial realm, and how working moms managed to balance it all.
