Book Review: The Confidence Code for Girls

It’s the start of a new school year. That means many new things. When you have new homework, new concepts, new teachers, and possibly a new school, things can be difficult.  One thing that can get difficult is keeping your confidence up. For me, and probably many others, the perfect thing to boost your confidence is to read. Especially if it is a book that reminds you of your strengths.

The Confidence Code for Girls by Katty Kay & Claire Shipman is an amazing book because it literally is about confidence — something you need for day-to-day activities. The book is part story and part activity and doing the activities gives your confidence a huge boost.

The activities include quizzes, confidence close-ups, warm-ups, questions, and quotes. Also included is real life stories of girls who found their confidence. These girls would go on to do inspiring and great things.  I loved this book because you can write in it and do so many activities to help you through whatever it is you need help with.

The best part about this book is that it can be used by anyone. Kay and Shipman’s first book, The Confidence Code, is geared more towards adults and you may want to read that too if you like this book. The Confidence Code for Girls is an excellent book because it will provide a well-deserved boost when you need some extra confidence to take on the world.
