“Recognition”
This piece features a woman with no identity, and hundreds of names written in the background. The names written in the back may be female celebrities, my family, my closest friends, or even girls and women who follow me on Instagram. Every single woman or girl written has been through hardships of their own that have made them stronger.
Whether these hardships were related to discrimination of women or not. Some of the women and girls I have written on here, I have only spoken to a few times, but the point is not to put people I’m close with, but to acknowledge the importance of recognizing that we are similar and stronger because of the hardships we’ve been through.
