Poetry: Time Flies

As seniors are graduating and juniors are becoming seniors. It is bittersweet to know that you and your classmates will be separated next fall. While also acknowledging that the next upcoming school year will be filled with many lasts. So, I wrote this poem in the eyes of a forthcoming senior sadden by the thought of leaving high school behind.

Senior year is approaching

Although it seems like high school is just starting

Everyone you know and love will soon be fleeting

But what’s left of them are memories worth keeping

The love you share with your classmates will forever be living

Even if they are leaving
