New Year, New Love
Everyone says “new year, new me”
But I don’t want to be a new me.
I don’t want to be a completely different person.
I want to be the same me,
Just with tiny improvements here and there.
I don’t want to create a different me
Because of a few insecurities,
I want to go into the new year and be able to say
“I am comfortable as I am”
“I don’t have to be a new me to live a great life.”
The new year brings a lot of change to some people,
But the only change I want to see is people accepting themselves,
Being able to say they love themselves.
