Let’s Talk Pumpkins

Fall isn’t just about the flavor of pumpkin spice lattes and buying those hefty fruits for decoration, a lot of useful things can be pumpkin! Let’s talk pumpkin beauty!

The Benefits of Pumpkin

Did you know that pumpkin has plenty of benefits for your skin? I didn’t know that either. Let’s get started shall we? For starters, pumpkin has been proven to boost your skin’s overall hydration and repair any skin damage you may have. Due to pumpkin’s extremely small molecules and all natural vitamins, it’s pure science! Here’s some benefits of our favorite fall fruit:

  • Brightens and smooths skin: Pumpkin enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids within the fruit increase cell turnover – meaning your dead skin cells will replenish newer, fresher ones! This equates to clean pores and brighter looking skin.
  • Hydration: Well, duh. Who wouldn’t want this?
  • Anti-Aging: We’re too young to worry about this one. Vitamins A and C will do the job here and work wonders for your skin.
  • Acne Prone Skin: Pumpkin controls the amount of oil our skin produces, heals inflammation from acne, and improves acne scars and dark spots that most of us have suffered from.

Pumpkin Products

1 – Burt’s Bees Pumpkin Spice Lip Balm

None of those harsh chemicals you can’t pronounce and 100% natural. I highly recommend this one!

2 – Tree Hut Pumpkin Spice Latte Sugar Scrub

Definitely worth the price if you use sugar scrubs, and yes, it smells exactly like a pumpkin spice latte!

3 – Too Faced Pumpkin Spice Second Slice Sweet & Spicy Eyeshadow Palette

Last but not least, it’s little on the pricier side, but this eyeshadow is super pigmented and not too dramatic at the same time! I’ve just recently purchased this to go with my Too Faced Melted Matte Lip Gloss, which I love every second of (It dries so quick and doesn’t smudge at all).
