Girls For Change Canada – Meet the Founder!
Here is what she had to say about her organization, GFC Canada
Hi, my name is Hana and I am a Canadian high school student who is the founder of GFC Canada. Girls For Change is a youth organization that instills young girls with the confidence and resources needed to create change. The future generations of females are the key to success.
From a young age, I have always been passionate about advocating for human rights, especially women’s rights and the empowerment and uplifting of young youth. I believe that women have extreme potential to lead a nation’s youth to succeed. Additionally, when females have access to the right resources and tools – they impact the future of not only females, but the future of nations.
Whether it’s in STEM fields, trade, or entrepreneurship, young girls can feel empowered enough to pursue their career and leaders in their communities and abroad. We also aim to alleviate educational barriers to provide young girls overseas with access to educational success.
GFC’s goal for 2020/2021 is to raise $3,500 to install a water well in a third world country. This well would help battle water insecurity. Unsanitary water disables access to education and a healthy future.
