Photos from a New Destination

A few days ago, my family and I decided to take a two-hour road trip to a peaceful, yet fun location – Jackson County Park, Scottsboro AL. Below, are some fabulous pictures I was able to catch.

When I first typed the name into Google Maps, I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting that much. An empty field with a few benches popped into my mind. But, oh, was I wrong!

As we drove closer to the destination, I was shocked at how beautiful the scenery was. The elevated road leading to it made the experience even more magical since you could see everything from a very high viewpoint.

I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for something fun to do on the weekends. You can have lunch on the benches, feed the ducks (there is an animal food vending machine, just make sure you bring a quarter), sit on the deck, take photos, the list goes on. Funny story about the duck food – there was a bunch of food on the ground near the machine, for people accidentally dropped some when they got it out of the opening. So we were able to get lots of handfuls from picking them up, without inserting any coins.

Sure, there are tons of lakes in Alabama, but driving a long distance to them makes it more exciting!
