Online Games to Play with Friends During Quarantine

Updated 2022

While many of us remain stuck at home with additional time on our hands, it is easy to feel secluded. However, with some research, I learned that there are a lot of online games to keep us entertained. Recently, a few of my friends and I set up weekly game nights where we plan two to three zoom calls each week and play many online games together.
These games are all easily accessible and super fun to play.

My Top 5 Favorite Online Multiplayer Games

Jeopardy

Just have someone be the game host and share their screen with the jeopardy template and play away! This game is super fun, and I have enjoyed playing it. After several trials, my friends and I found that the game runs the smoothest when we use the call’s chat function as the “buzzer”. Each player types in their answer in the form of a question and the first correct answer gets the points.

Skribbl io

This game is very similar to Pictionary or charades. One person draws and the rest guesses. At the end of the game, the person with the most points wins.

Online puzzles

This online puzzle platform allows you and your friends to work together on difficult jigsaw puzzles. There are also competitions to see who places the most pieces on the puzzle. All you have to do is sign in using an email to create a private room for you are your friends to play in.

Cards

You can play any card games from go fish to Cards Against Humanity! My personal favorite is the game called Remote Insensitivity. It is just like Cards Against Humanity and always makes me laugh.

Kahoot

Kahoot has a lot of fun topics to play, and it is not just for studying. For example, there’s movie trivia, fun facts, and you can even make your own Kahoot. This site is essentially another version of trivia. Simply have the game host share their screen.

Let’s make some gaming quarantine memories with our friends!
