Easy Workouts to do at Home


Working out at home can bring significant changes to your body. I always thought that my weight loss would only occur in a gym, but that is not true. I lost 30 pounds by doing workouts in my bedroom. So, what are the best workouts to do at home? Depending on the workout, the only gym equipment you may need are dumbbells, jump rope, resistance bands, and a yoga mat.


You can do HIIT almost anywhere. Usually all you need is dumbbells and it is so convenient. It only requires about 30 minutes of your time and it will transform your body! There are millions of videos for FREE on Youtube all you have to do is search “HIIT at home workouts” and you will find loads of results. Also, if you want to get creative you can create your own workout with this formula:

  1. Choose your length of the workout
  2. choose your intervals: exercise 20 seconds rest 10 seconds, exercise 30 seconds rest 10 seconds, exercise for 45 seconds rest 15 seconds, and so on.
  3. choose your exercises: squats, push ups, planks, burpees, box jumps, and so many more. You can research many more HIIT exercises and there are so many examples on Pinterest.

The Nike Training app is also free and FULL of workouts that range from easy to advanced. It has so many good workouts and they are all free!


Youtube is full of yoga workouts, they range from low intensity to high intensity, beginner to advanced, and really customizable to whatever stage you are in. There are so many videos on there all you have to do is search! Blogilates is my favorite channel on Youtube for pilates videos. She has so many different exercises and she makes them fun. I promise you will be so sore afterwards.

Those are my favorite exercises for when I don’t have time to go to the gym or wake up early and need to get a workout in. They are extremely effective and you don’t even have to get out of your house!
