CHECK ME OUT

Check Me Out

I am as saucy as a pizza when I’m popping!

My personality is like a sour patch kid:

one minute I’m sweet, the next I’m sour.

My hair is as soft as a fluffy pillow on a winter night.
I am sweet like ice cream on a hot summery day.
I am funsize like a mini snickers that you buy in the store.
I am like a snickers — I’m not me when I’m hungry.

I am as beautiful as a flower blooming through the wind.

This poem is taken from the book, The Stars are Lying, a collection of poems produced by students from Putnam Middle School and Oliver Elementary School, in collaboration with Desert Island Supply Company (DISCO).
