Artist Statement:
Using color and shapes curves in photography can add emotions to the model that otherwise may not have been possible. Partially covering the model’s face also adds to this kind of mystique that makes photography appealing. I feel like the stark blue of her hat, which hides the emotion in her eyes, gives the picture a strong and slightly serious feel. The face one can see looks ready for action, like she isn’t afraid of anything.
