In 2021, Apple released a lot of new products. Lots of the products have been hits, and a lot of them were misses. In this article, I will detail all of Apple’s new products!
AirTags
AirTags were released in April of 2021. Acting as a tracking device that easily pairs with your iPhone. AirTags are similar to Tile, which is another popular tracking device. The only difference is that AirTags connect directly to your iPhone, versus having to download another app. The location of your AirTags is in the FindMy app. Here you will see any AirTags linked to your iPhone, the location of all of the AirTags, as well as directions to each AirTags. AirTags are currently $30 for one and $100 for four. AirTags are also available with Apple-designed holders.
Macbooks and iMacs
The new iMacs were released in April of 2021, with a plethora of colors to choose from. They expanded their range to include green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and the classic silver color for the iMac. These iMacs start at $1,299. These iMacs will come with a Magic Keyboard in a matching color.
Apple also released a new MacBook Pro. This model will bring back the HDMI port and MagSafe charging port. The previous model of the MacBook was charged through a USB-C cord versus the now magnetic charger. This MacBook starts at $1,999. It will be available on October 26, 2021.
iPhone 13
The iPhone 13 was released in September of 2021, with 4 models. These models included the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 mini, the iPhone 13 Pro, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The biggest difference between the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 12 is the new camera layout. The iPhone 13 will feature a diagonal dual-camera versus the original vertical dual camera. It will come with a more advanced camera as well. The iPhone 13 is available in pink, blue, midnight, starlight, and red. This phone has a 6.1-inch display. This version will start at $799. The iPhone 13 mini is similar in every regard except the size. The iPhone 13 mini will have a 5.4-inch display.
The 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are powerful machines. Starting at $999, these phones will feature a triple camera versus the dual camera seen in the iPhone 13. These phones come in 4 colors: sierra blue, silver, gold, and graphite. The iPhone 13 Pro will have a 6.1-inch display and the iPhone 13 Pro Max will have a 6.7-inch display.
iPads
The new 9th generation iPad was released in September of 2021. This iPad gave the line a refresh with a brand new budget-friendly model. These iPads start at $329 and are compatible with many of Apple’s accessories. This includes the Apple Pencil Gen 1, any of the AirPods models, and select keyboards. The iPad has a 10.2-inch screen display and weighs 1.07 pounds.
The new iPad Mini was also released in September. This iPad is now compatible with the 2nd Generation Apple Pencil. The iPad is available in 4 colors including a space gray, pink, starlight, and purple version. This iPad does not feature the home button at the bottom of the screen. Instead, the touch-id has moved to the power button. This iPad has a screen size of 8.3 inches. These iPads are starting at $499.
Apple Watch Series 7
This new Apple Watch features a bigger screen expanding to the edge of the casing. This watch will be available in new sizes including a 41mm, and a 45mm case. The watch comes in 5 new colors including green, blue, red, starlight, and midnight. With the addition of new screen real estate, Apple has been able to integrate a full QWERTY keyboard into the Apple Watch. With the purchase of a new Apple Watch, Apple will give you 3 months free with their fitness program, Apple Fitness +.
AirPods Refresh
The AirPods got a refresh with the new AirPods 3. The AirPods 3 share the same base as the AirPods Pro without the advanced feature. They do not have noise-canceling features but do have spatial audio. These Airpods will give you 6 hours of listening time on a single charge. These AirPods are $179.
