light seeps through the sides
breathing / bleeding
/ /
trapped
in space and time
in one moment forever
your body bends and shapes it into something worthwhile
refraction of light on the face
almost making you translucent
making you vulnerable
see-through
you reach out to it
catch it in between your fingers
but it slips right through the cracks
blinding

This poem uses light as a symbol for time and examines how quickly it can get away from us.
