The new year is coming quick and along with it are an abundance of anticipated trends and predictions. Pantone, a company best known for its influence in color trends, has released their “color of the year”, Viva Magenta. This color is a stunning purple-red that was described as a “balance” between warm and cool tones. Pantone even collaborated with the brand Cariuma to produce shoes in the exact shade. The color of the year is supposed to reflect current or upcoming trends in the world and almost set the tone for the year to come.
I think this color is very beautiful and the perfect combination of red’s, purple’s, and pink’s. I was previously unaware that Pantone even announced a color of the year but now I’ll be on the lookout for this color in all sorts of areas.

I’ve never heard of the color Viva Magenta! I probably would have chosen something with a mix of blue and green.
