International Women’s Day

International Women's Day
International Women’s Day was conceptualized in 1910 at an International Conference of Working Women held in Copenhagen, Denmark. A woman named Clara Zetkin proposed a global celebration of women to recognize our achievements but also press for continued progress towards gender equality around the world. Over 100 women from 17 countries (representing unions, political parties, and working women’s clubs) greeted Zetkin’s suggestion with unanimous approval and thus International Women’s Day was born.
We hope the day serves as a reminder that everyday is a great day to stand tall, beautiful, confident, and proud to be a woman!
