Poem: It’s Dark Now

Walking into a room

filled with a dark color

a void in which one can not see.

No awareness with what’s beneath,

to the right,

to the left,

or above.

Feeling around

trying best to not trip,

but either way

there is nothing there

even when

something is always to be expected.

Not surprised

not sad or mad,

but disappointed

for this

was a room that was filled.

Not remembering of what it was filled with

only remembering the sensation

to which it brought.
