The Woman You Fell For

The Woman You Fell For

The Woman You Fell For: A Poem

The only thing to do
Was hold onto every syllable
Flinging
From her serpent tongue.

Reverberating in your skull,
Scrambling your brain,
Her hot magnetic words
Were a loaded gun.

With you in her sights,
Aligned in the crosshairs,
She took hostage
Of your heart.

Brutal and
Beautiful,
You will hate her
But you will never leave.
