It begins
There are the early risers that
roam the halls at seven
Heads down on their phone because they believe it’s a gift from heaven
Laughs can be heard from miles around
They're highschool students they’re not afraid of sound
There are the ones that walk in pairs of two or groups of five and sometimes eight
They’re high school students they think talking is great
The teachers on the other hand enforce using your inside voice
I mean they are adults they run away from noise
But the teachers hold the key to Your F. A or even a C
They yell at the students because it’s part of their role to “keep the peace”
The teachers are outnumbered 22:1
But still by their wee little self they get the job done
Ring!
This is the noise that makes the children scream
They move in packs like wolves with their friends on their teams
Some our sentimental and have long goodbyes while other never even said hi
But what do you think they’re highschool students they believe they don’t cry
Class starts those who are late or eager sit in the front
Some of the kids in the back play their games
I mean they’re highschool students -They like to stunt
Open their books and scribble on paper
Some do their homework in class why others wait until later.
The goal of each student is getting through the day
They complain about working 8 hours without pay
Some run out at the end of the day
While others wish they could stay
But what do we expect their highschool students they have a lot to say
