Words She Will Never Say

He looks at her,
His face covered in awe
And the purple crescents stamped under his eyes
From the sleepless nights spent wondering how to make her smile.
He looks at her,
Says he loves her,
That he’s even in love with her,
And she’s the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen.
He looks at her,
Yet she just cries,
Because how can he love her
If she can’t even love herself.
