Tonight I remain perched by my window admiring
the stars
Only a few seem to be peering through the thick blanket of
the night sky
I long for nothing more than to be closer, to be able
to graze the night’s gems
with the tips of my fingers

Each tiny glisten holding more beauty
than the next
And a peculiarity defining each twinkle in
the night

To be stuck in this moment is a gift
in itself
As I sit star struck by undeniable glory in the silence of my
corner of the world
My unfailing gratitude is only half of what the
night’s beauty deserves

Wondering how anything could be
more beautiful
I find my self whisked away in this moment
I find myself living a dream
